Yesterday we went to Crawford Notch State Park, NH. We had a great time hiking to see Ripley Falls. This area is gorgeous. Afterwards we set up camp and roasted marshmallows. It started to rain, so we watched Indiana Jones on Deb's laptop in the car. After the movie ended, it was still pouring, so we made a run to the tent since it was now bedtime. However, we discovered that the tent leaked and our sleeping bags were drenched. We ended up at a nearby hotel.
Everyone slept well and we got a hot breakfast. It's overcast still, and rain is still in the forecast. So we'll be winging it today. We've got a roll of quarters and hope to get the sleeping bags dry.

Hey Weidner family. I just found your email in my 'junk' folder! (thank you AAA for that). Too bad about the tent leaking...Hope you got those sleeping bags dried out! ....Have fun!
